MHANYS Recognized as 2025 Best Place to Work by Albany Business Review
MHANYS is proud to announce we have been named one of the Albany Business Review’s 2025 Best Places to Work! This is a tremendous honor for MHANYS as we are among one of the only not-for-profits to be recognized in the listing. MHANYS was recognized in the category of small companies with 20-24 employees.
The ranking honors companies and organizations across the Capital Region that have gone above and beyond “the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful environment for their employees.” This distinction is a testament to the dedicated, mission-driven team and culture we have built at MHANYS that is engaging, inclusive, and supportive in the endeavor to strengthen community mental health and wellness.

MHANYS Journal: Strength in Community Vol. 4
We’re excited to announce the release of the fourth edition of the MHANYS Journal: Strength in Community. The theme of this edition is stewardship. At its essence, stewardship is about more than just maintaining what has been built; it’s about nurturing growth, embracing change, and evolving with purpose. It embodies the enduring principle of leaving things better than we found them.
At MHANYS, stewardship is at the heart of everything we do. For 65 years, we have led with innovation and commitment in advancing our core mission: raising awareness, reducing stigma, advocating for change, and promoting recovery and wellness in our communities. We continue to meet the growing demand for Mental Health First Aid and other mental health literacy initiatives. As stewards of the mental health education law, the School Mental Health Resource and Training Center (SMHRTCenter) launched the new school year with trainings and events across New York State. The premise of stewardship aligns closely with MHANYS’ approach to advocacy, which extends beyond championing new priorities. In this issue, read how MHANYS ensures the laws and initiatives we’ve fought for — alongside all of you — are fully implemented and supported, now and into the future via our programming.
As we approach the holiday season and the end of the year, we are deeply grateful for your support and for the collective passion and dedication you bring to fostering healthier, more resilient communities. Looking ahead we’re excited to share even more powerful stories through the MHANYS Journal: Strength in Community.
